picicata
A drop in form at points of the season happens to most players. It's normal. I'm not worried by Doug's form, which will improve, or his ability, which is excellent. I do worry about his mentality though, he seems to get petulant and childlike on the pitch way too quickly

There is a slight worry that he doesn’t seem to play all that well alongside anybody other than Kamara..
Keyblade
Couple of poor games and it's "you know I wouldn't mind if we sold him". Maybe DOL was right about us.
Sulberto21
I think Dougie is better as a DM when he’s the middle of the three. In a two he’s better as a box to box midfielder.
Brumstopdogs
When he is on form he is a really good player for us. When he is not on form he is not a really good player for us. At the moment he is not on form but we don't have any other real options and he gets my support (at least) to get his form back and show us his qualities. JPJCB
His sporadic form makes me think that we should prioritise getting a first team CM in the summer, regardless of whether he leaves or not: - we’re light in that part of the squad anyway -if he leaves then we’ll need a replacement to sit alongside kamara - if he stays, some competition for him and Kamara would be good. Dougie’s performances have shown we can’t always rely on him in the big games

Well we'll have to sell someone if we don't get UCL. Doug's performances have powered him to the top of that table. Disinterested and lazy. Very frustrating to watch. If Tielemans wasn't injured I'd be dropping him. Edited April 28 by Tomaszk
Leeroy
At fault for the first goal and generally was poor and has been for a while. He's been very good for much of this season but needs to up his game pronto because if we had a fully fit squad at the moment, in his current form, he wouldn't be starting. I don't think it's specifically Kamara, it's more that he plays better alongside a specialist DM. At the momen he's trying to play a role that doesn't suit him as well. I feel like we've had this discussion about Luiz before and whilst he hasn't played as well recently his 'dips in form' always seem to coincide with a change in role. When Gerrard first came in, he played Nakamba a lot and that seemed to help too from memory.

The_Steve
He's a crucial player, no doubt. Unai, however, will not tolerate his poor attitude and silly hotheadedness. Too much of a passenger last night.
Delphinho123
Nearly all of the conversation I’ve seen around selling Luiz is related to FFP and him being an asset that is more replaceable given his position and the money we’d get for his sale. I think it’s a universal opinion that he’s a good player that perhaps is out of form or struggles when he doesn’t have a proper DM next to him. Nobody is out here saying we should sell him because of his performances this season. He’s been mostly excellent this year.
Awol
Our most technically gifted player who’s just had a poor game. Bad timing, but like the rest of them he’s probably physically knackered and running on fumes. I’d sell any of our midfielders bar McGinn before letting Dougie go (unless someone put £100m on the table), and he’s the natural successor to McGinn as captain. He’d be incredible with Rice and Odegaard in that Arsenal midfield, something I hope we never see.

We may be saying the same thing but I do think it’d be better for that player to be able to play alongside Kamara rather than act as replacement/back up
PaulC
He hasn't played many games recently so tiredness can't be used as an excuse. He wasn't alone in not performing yesterday..we didn't keep the ball well enough. Lacked intensity. Chelsea seemed to want it more.
