To think Arsenal tried to sign him for 20m.... 🤣

Well they wouldn't have wanted to pay much more than that given his contract situation at that time.

Great assist today.

Plus it’s also their arrogance that they can get players cheaper because players will force moves to their clubs….delusional!

Just wild that people think we can get money for him and easily replace what he does

Easily you say? Got any examples of that? That's not right.

The most irreplaceable player in our squad. Does everything.

Any club out there who had any idea or design on possibly getting Dougie on a move must now have a re-think. Yesterday proves what a lot of people already knew , he really is world class . He’s £100m plus ,he doesn’t want out and we don’t want to sell .

Not saying easily replace him, but if a huge bid came in we get a chance to sign 3 first team players. Need to view it like West Ham having sold Rice and it allowing multiple expensive signings in to strengthen the whole squad / first team.

If nobody bids in summer I think he'll sign a contract extension in Oct/Nov time

Totally, sell Luiz and we'd be massively **** in midfield. I can't think of another player post Sid who could have hit that pass for Watkins. Just pure filth.

Hope that last bit is true, have to build the midfield around him. Not sell him.

Signing 3 new players doesn't guarantee improvement. What were last 3 signings before this window? Torres Diaby Zaniolo(loan)? 1 out of 3 that's been consistent. People say 100m for Luiz. 3 x 33m buys not much these days

He was unlucky not to get the assist for our first goal with another great ball through the middle.

Tbh I think we need top 4 to keep him and if a bid does come in it's really upto Emery and Co to decide if we can replace him and improve the first team with the money.

We need to just enjoy his performances while he's playing for us, in 10 years time he will have gone and been replaced anyway, just the way it is. UTV

300k a week on the table helps in all fairness in the ‘process’
