Lord Willard
Should of saved at least two.
DCJonah
Both times Smith has inherited Nyland, he's replaced him with a new signings as fast as he physically could That tells you all you need to know
Stevo985 Posted January 12, 2020 VT Supporter Share Posted January 12, 2020 Awful today. Reina in asap please
villalad21
Maybe his last game in a Villa shirt. Steer should be comfortably 2nd choice when he returns. Reina plays next game.
Farlz
Beaten at his near post too easily. Reina will probably come straight in but I really don't think he'll be much better. I think he's past it.
Keener window-cleaner
Feel sorry for him, his hopefully only PL start ever and he lets in 6 goals. Can't say any goal was a big mistake from him, but didn't do much good either.

He should've saved the first imo but after that was horribly exposed. Not a game you can really judge any keeper on in those circumstances imo. Similar to Heaton in the Leicester game. The defending was atrocious. Maybe but it was still no more than rolled in. Should not be beaten by a tame shot at the near post no matter what the circumstances. And the third right through his hands. I said we didn't need a new keeper and he would be fine. I was wrong.
Phil Silvers
Might as well have put a choc-ice in goal
Vive_La_Villa
I got excited by his performances and thought he could be the real deal. It was quite naive really. Hopefully Reina is still a top keeper.
Elton
I only stayed until 0-5 but no howlers from Nyland but he does seem a quiet character and a bit shy on the pitch. Apparently Reina is a real leader and presence on the pitch and in the dressing room (not sure if Grant Holt level) so Nyland will now be benched. I still see Nyland as an adequate stand in but not a long term first choice.

DCJonah
Heaton saves at least 2 of them. Nyland is an issue and has rightly been replaced ASAP

I’m sure you know what a howler is. I thought he was beaten too easily for the first but I haven’t watched the goals back and don’t really want to. That was my impression from the stands. I don’t think he is a strong enough character to keep in the PL. He was far too exposed today regardless.
AV82
Nyland needs to be replaced on account of his pathetic kicking, forget about his ability to keep the ball out of the net.
