Was tough to watch Cormier after that fight, that's a broken man!

To be honest he haa nothing to be upset about he did very well. But the reach was too difficult for him and the size. Jones was just too big for him.

Jones vs lesnar would be a impressive fight that i would be interested in. Is t lesnar banned though?

Its interesting as in wwe he said if he loses at sumerslam he would be leaving so maybe this is already in process of happening

Think it's more what the defeat stood for. Shows that he was keeping the title warm for bones.

What made it even worse was the gentlemanly way Jones reacted to the win...no hyperbole...no gloating. Just another day at the office!

Considering Jones has been out of the ring for such a long time that result was daunting for anyone around his weight class!

Jones busted for doping, again :crylaugh:

But it's in the US so he'll probably not get the lifetime ban he deserves this time either.

Edit:

JON JONESTESTS POSITIVE FOR STEROIDS

0822-jon-jones-getty-3.jpgJon Jones has tested positive for steroids in his UFC 214 victory over Daniel Cormier ... TMZ Sports has learned.

Our sources tell us ... Jones tested positive for Turinabol -- an anabolic steroid.

Jones won the July 29 fight -- taking the UFC light heavyweight belt from Cormier with a savage head kick followed by a barrage of punishing punches to Cormier's head.

Jones will now go through the disciplinary process and his title could be stripped, which would make the fight a "no contest" and the title would go back to Cormier.

It's the second time Jones has failed a USADA drug test. He tested positive for banned substances in 2016 before UFC 200 and was pulled from the main event. Jones got socked with a 1 year ban.

We're told this time around, he could be banned for up to 4 years.

Jones had blamed his previous failed test on a male enhancement pill. He claimed he didn't realize the pill contained a banned substance and insisted he was NOT trying to gain a competitive edge.

If the test results hold up, it's unclear how he'll explain his way out of this one.

Story developing ...

7:25 PM PT -- A rep for Jon Jones released the following statement ... "We are all at a complete loss for words right now. Jon, his trainers, his nutritionists and his entire camp have worked tirelessly and meticulously the past 12 months to avoid this exact situation."

"We are having the samples tested again to determine the validity or source of contamination. Jon is crush by this news and we are doing whatever we can as a team to support him."

7:01 PM PT -- A rep for Daniel Cormier tells TMZ Sports ... "It is very hard not to feel cheated. Again."

6:25 PM PT -- The UFC released a statement saying they were notified today by USADA of a "potential Anti-Doping Policy violation violation stemming from an in-competition sample collected following [Jones] weigh-in on July 28, 2017" ... the day before UFC 214.

The statement goes on to say, "under the UFC Anti-Doping Policy, there is a full and fair legal process that is afforded to all athletes before any sanctions are imposed."

I have no idea why they just don't let people take whatever they want, No sport is clean, Athletes, Tennis players, footballers, Boxers, cyclists UFC, baseball & American football players are all on drugs or supplements of some sort that will eventually be banned. Stop wasting time trying to catch the odd one here and there and punishing them weeks/months/years after the fact and either just let people get on with it or go completely the other way and test every single person every single day of the year.

That is a joke isn't it...surely it is a joke

Allowing people to take PEDS in UFC and Boxing is the most ludicrous suggestion I've heard in a long time.

if you think that 90% of athletes aren't doing / taking something that is either banned, or will be banned in future you are deluded & the whole TUE rule just makes a complete mockery of any rules they have in place anyway.

Have a pollen allergy, that's ok take some triamcinolone, anyone else takes it they are banned.

Have asthma, take some sambutamol, anyone else takes it they are banned.

Have a heart condition, sure take some meldonium for years, anyone else takes it they are banned

Say you are dehydrated because you had to cut too much weight, that's ok have a load of stuff injected directly into you through IV the day before a fight. The fact that this can also be used to mask other illegal substances doesn't matter.

some of the worls top athletes are apparently some of the most decrepid human beings alive, they all seem to be Asthmatics with severe allergies & heart conditions...

either test everyone every single day or accept that everyones at it and let them get one with it

Whatever limit the rules set levels the playing field, if you remove the legislation then the sport becomes more about the best doctor. Imagine F1 without engine and aero restrictions. It would be even less competitive.

i would guess that at least the top 10% if not more are paying someone to stay ahead of the curve, its a constantly evolving market, so they will have a slight advantage

"take this, its not banned yet

dont agree with it being a free for all though
