What was with that banner on the roof of the holte? Can only assume it was to come down if we won, but pitch invasion ruined it. 

 

Also so what was the new song on before the match (after Ozzy) and at half time? I liked it.

about 30 mins before the game sat i posted this in the pre match thread :

Weirdly the shot that hit the bar in the fifa sim was from a downing free-kick  just outside the box although Whelan had given that one away.

Guess Fifa was pretty accurate, even if it was fot the wrong game

Tony had Bruce Out written on it as an original way to sack the manager upon failing the play-offs - he didn't need it fortunately.

I also want to know, expected it to come down at fulltime but maybe the pitch invasion put an end to that. They initially said go to your seats so we can finish in style and then said **** off home pretty much.

Not a comfortable watch, but such a great result. I think we thoroughly deserved the win over 180 minutes, but a goal tonight would have made for easier viewing. 

I have to say, I’m not sure the 1-0 advantage did us any favours, but in any case we did what we needed and all that is left is a one off game at Wembley. This is anyone’s and all I can do is hope we come out on top a week on Saturday.

Got up at 3:45 am to watch that. Of course it was 0 0.

Thought Adomah was excellent tonight, was often the only outlet but consistently kept possession which stopped us getting sucked too deep and created a couple of good chances with low crosses for Grabban and Hourihane.

Job done and we looked comfortable throughout, Fulham will be a tougher test but we are plenty good enough if we get it right.

Terrible game, but what a defensive performance. Plaudits to both Bruce and the team.  An effective 2 leg victory. Interesting how well set up against a more mobile team!

im pretty sure it was a song from rocky 4. Thats if im thinking about the same song used on the villa type montage where it starts off with us missing chances, then shows goals against wolves and grealish scoring that goal against millwall.

I don’t  just a talking point. I’ve seen another angle on a replay but they stop it before it hits Johnstone’s hand so it looks half a foot out, that’s probably what’s been taken as gospel and why there’s fury from Boro.

Sorry but the pitch invasion spoiled post match for the rest of us. The music was stopped , the players were unable to come to clap the supporters and we were left wondering what the big banner said. I guess the pitch invaders had a great time though and the players didnt seem to mind to be fair but it did dampen the post match atmosphere for the rest of us  .

The big banner said "We are Villa" and I think it was supposed to come out pre-match rather than post match. Not sure though.
