Will be a much better game of football at Wembley imo. Pullis just grinds out results with that freak Traore which you just have to double up on.

Fulham are a more rounded team but I think they won't be able to handle the pressure. We thrashed Wolves and I can't see why we can't do the same to Fulham.

So juat got to my hotel. Defensively we were awesome.  Every player put their body on the line for this. Adomah was not that good offensively but defensively Jesus he was superb. Grealish too.

For me motm was jedinak absolute beast today what a ducking player at 34.

I thought the atmsophere was excellent. The north stand was rocking. The trinity they were probably the only quiet ones until last 10m. As for pitch invasion easily could havw gone on but I chose not to. I'm not a idiot. If the club decides to ban those who ran on more chance for us to get tickets.

Jedinak was a beast, Terry was a beast, Chester was a beast.

Good performances all round, Bree was out of position a few times though but was generally solid.

Hourihane owes us a big performance at Wembley, he's had an ok season but has been a bit off the boil the last 10 games or so.

So happy we finished the job, it was not going to be a foregone conclusion and we could easily have slipped up. I was confident after Saturday, but had a few doubts creep in and thought if we conceded first it could all go wrong. Thankfully a professional performance kept Middlesbrough fairly quiet.

On to Wembley now and a one off game against Fulham where anything can happen. They beat us, but we have also beaten them earlier in the season. It will be definitely be a tough game and Fulham will probably be favourites, but we should not fear them.

Well the trouble is that it’s tge one game where we’d really have loved to acknowledge the players, and celebrate with them . And we couldn’t..... I was a bit philosophical about it but there was a lot of fans in the Upper Holte going mental, and I don’t blame them.

Must admit though I did run on the pitch myself, mind you I was 8 years old.

I don't think there's been a night like that since late December back in sixty three. When Villa Park is rocking - and it was rocking tonight - there is no place like it. Incredible noise at the start and a great atmosphere throughout. We were the better side, it wasn't turgid nil-nil stuff and we deserved it thoroughly - Boro kept at it and my heart never left my throat - just brilliant.

We came out of the traps playing at a pace they simply couldn't cope with and I thought we'd score early - we had a couple of really good chances later on - Grabban and (I think) Chester might both feel unlucky not to have scored - but there's sometimes a lot more to admire than just tucking it away. The balls on our back four are massive - Hutton will follow Traore home and tuck him in, Terry wouldn't panic if you dropped him into a bear pit and young Bree after a slightly iffy opening grew into it, playing the game in the second half, not the occasion. We've got character in sack loads - Snoddy chased and tackled absolutely everything, Adomah ran miles and Jack, well, Jack was Jack - my man of the match was Hourihane - he got through more work than Balfour Beattie - if I worked that hard, I'd get promoted.

You get nothing for nothing and we've earned a chance in the final, these boys deserved it, they gave everything and they got everything back from a full house. We've nothing to fear from Fulham.

Special mention to Sam Johnstone who appeared out of a mass of humanity, fighting his way through the pitch invasion to applaud the Holte End - he looked ready to burst.

We can be proud of that, the players, the fans, all of us; part of the pride indeed.

Only caught the second half but I liked what I saw. Great all-round performance which kept boro firmly in our pockets.

How good is Darren Randolph? A lesser keeper could easily have let in a couple.

Thank you Mike Dean for not sending off Johnstone. You are the most useless ref in the kingdom but this time it worked in our favour.

So good to see how together the players are.

EDIT: forgot to say well done to Bree for holding his own in such a pressure situation.

Jedinak's gait is technically 50cm wider than anyone else's so that's something.
