I'm not saying you are going to be wrong, but there's absolutely nothing to base this on.

That Brentford are dominating Leeds ?. But they are ! Ah no look, i just worry. Think the first few days of his appointment if it happens would be crazy with his profile, we'd be on the news loads. But when that dies down I'm worried what he would be like out on the grass coaching players and if he could get his message across. Could be miles off though with my opinion.

When did anyone say it was nothing to do with Dean Smith? People just pointed out it’s not only down to Dean Smith. It’s a structural approach involving various factors.

It’s partly down to the analysts who research every aspect of a potential signing’s attributes to ensure they’d fit the Brentford system. The coaches of the B team who introduce the system to people on the fringes of the first team. It’s the specialist coaches who focus specifically on corners, passing, and free kicks. It’s the directors of football who set the philosophy and make football decisions on a macro level. It’s to do with Dean Smith who oversees the philosophy, the coaching, and the first team. And it’s finally the players who are performing the specific job for which they’ve purposely been recruited.

Brentford fans themselves will tell you that it’s not just down to Dean Smith, and if he was to leave, they’d be confident of the next man carrying on where he left off.

The man before him did terrible working within a similar structure after been head hunted for many months. But no its nothing to do with dean smith.

Its too simplistic to say that Dean Smith has not got that much influence on the Brentford team. HE picks the team, HE picks the tactics, formation, style, HE motivates them, gets them to play with such passion and aggression, this is Brentford we are talking about. They look the best team in the Championship.

Also dropped mceachran who's much more of a ball player/ passer for mokojto because playing at Leeds common sense would dictate you'll need to be more competitive and work harder in midfield.

First half : mokojto being excellent. Ahhhhh tactics,  i remember those.........vaguely.

Yet we made them look pretty ordinary.

Why not promote from within and give Delaney the job until the end of season. He’d bring several of the young players through while playing in the same way that Smith would which the Villa fans want.

Someone mentioned Conte earlier. That’s also a decent shout if gettable. He would shake the whole foundations at Villa Park while taking no shit from the players.

Conte?

We really are a funny bunch aren't we.

I'll wager we don't end up with Conte as Manager.
