Would seem  highly unlikely tbh   , Weinstein was a Democrat donor, so I doubt Trump is the forgiving sort in that instance

Didn’t know that, came across as the same sort of ilk.

Bob Iger has just stepped down as CEO of Disney he was supposed to stay on until 2021.

Could be nothing, could be something. He is mentioned by Paz de La Huerta among the ones who helped cover up Harvey Weinstein's behavior.

Wonder how much Tarantino knew.

I imagine he knew loads, since even I knew about Weinstein's behaviour long before he was arrested (RIP Gawker). My impression is that pretty much all of Hollywood knew, I can't see why Tarantino would be any different (but then I also don't know why you're focusing on him, particularly).

He was executive producer on all of Tarantino's movies pretty much.

They worked together, a lot.

My feeling about this is that there are a lot of levels of 'knowing' that someone is up to no good, and that the police or other authorities only become interested quite a few levels up. The situation is complicated; Weinstein used NDA's to keep people silent, and people who may have been concerned may not have felt able to say anything without 'outing' victims.

I'm not arguing that Tarantino, or anyone else who worked closely with Weinstein or socialised with him, is blameless. Maybe they aren't. But unless there's some concrete evidence of misdeed on their part, I would leave the question of 'whether they did enough' up to their consciences, and I think you can continue to enjoy their work for now 🙂

Plus Weinstein held all the money so therefore he held all the power. Thats why he got away with it for so long - Tarantino isn't going to bite the hand that feeds him. Weinstein proved that he had the power to end peoples career in the film industry so no-one was ever going to stand up to him. Still to this day the majority of folks who he 'made' haven't completely condemned him.

At the start of his career maybe. It has been a long time since Tarantino would be **** if Weinstein turned on him. He’d be able to secure funding in no time even if he had to go outside of the Hollywood cliques.

If the radio précis I heard was correct, and I really hope it was bullshit, his legal team tried to get a reduced sentence because he was famous and had been involved in some great films?

Just imagine pitching that one to the judge. We know he’s a rapist a liar, a fake and a douche, but come on, we all love Piranha 3DD.

Thing that surprises me with these things, I bet there was no shortage of hot young girls who'd consensually hop into bed with him to get a "leg up" on their acting careers. Why resort to forcing yourself on people?

Power, rape is about power more than anything else by all accounts.
