Accused of sexually abusing a 11 y.o girl on the set of Born Killers back in 2003. 12 people who worked on the set confirm it and he was suspended but it never went to court. It's shocking, but I imagine it's down to lawyer costs, intimidation, fear of ruining the little girls career and likely an off court settlement with a shed load of money. Sadly this m.o means these people can just keep on doing the same thing over and over again. Edit: A quick look and the likely victim would be the actress who played his young daughter in the movie. His show on PBS (closest thing to BBC over here) is a round table interview with luminaries from every possible field. Literature, music, technology, business - it's an incredibly informative program. He is also part of a more family friendly morning show in addition to his more traditional serious journalism. 8 women have accused him. Are all these people from a time when being famous gave you the confidence that you could just get away with doing what you want ? Or are they just clearings in the woods who became famous? Actors, journalists, writers, radio and TV personalities, politicians, comedians, chefs and restaurant celebrities, musicians... #metoo is spreading like wildfire. Massively entertaining as many of them are outspoken feminists or working for companies who paint themselves as shining beacons of right and morality.
