In order not to reach that limit, alternative sources of financing government plans are required, and these include taxation and controlling expenditure so as to not reach the limit. Hope this is a sign that the North East has not forgotten its roots. Interesting that he said that STPs would be suspended, if Labour win the election. That's pretty huge. All the more weird then, that Labour here appear to have decided not to run a campaign. The quietest little unknown candidate you could imagine. A few tweets about women's pension rights (perfectly worthy), but pretty much nothing else. I live on a long straight road, in previous elections here there have been dozens of Labour placards. I seriously don't think they've bothered getting any printed this time. Yesterday was the first day since the election was called that one single labour local councillor that I follow on twitter broke ranks, broke the silence and urged people to vote.
