More tough talking from Jens Stoltenberg

Quote

If you’ve just joined us here’s a quick summary of what Nato secretary general Jens Stoltenberg spoke about at his news conference:

  • He says Russia’s invasion of Ukraine is the "biggest security crisis in a generation" and "we stand united to keep our alliance strong and our people safe"
  • Stoltenberg says Nato has agreed to strengthen their defences by moving 40,000 troops to its eastern flank in response to Russia's invasion
  • He confirmed four new battlegroups will be sent to Slovakia, Hungary, Bulgaria and Romania
  • Stoltenberg also said cyber defences are being strengthened and Nato will also help Ukraine defend itself against "biological, chemical, radiological and nuclear threats"
  • He says the use of chemical weapons "will totally change the nature of the conflict, it will be a blatant violation of international law and it will have widespread consequences"
  • Putin’s invasion of Ukraine has changed our security environment for the long term and Nato is prepared for the “long haul”, he says

“Long haul” must refer to beyond Putin’s reign (however it might end).

Have to wait and see. It seems “Anonymous” claim a lot without actually doing very much.

Hmmm. I mean, why wait 48hrs?

If you've got the data you surely just release it.

Also we've had all the revelations after Panama and the rest and it had **** all impact on people's minds. Rich people being tax dodging corrupt rocket polishers allying with dubious personalities is frankly what is expected of them. Johnson has his own catalogue of Russian connections, means eff all. I'm not sure what detail from Russian banks could possibly cause a scandal. I mean obviously if Corbyn was still the leader and he had a connection there,  he would obviously be crucified, but if a bunch of western politicians, non doms, businessmen or whomever are connected, the story would easily be buried. Even if they've been bankrolling Putin personally, nothing would happen

The rare time when being the most unpopular person in the room is actually a good thing.

Which is a bigger organisation of bullshitters, the Kremlin or GB News? Maybe they cancel each other out :)

Listening to Joe Biden at the live NATO news conference that started a short time ago.  He has confused himself a number of times already.

I wonder if he actually knows he's President? We really are in a period whereby Leadership roles around the world are filled with the unworthy, incoherent or just bloody stupid individuals. You have to wonder who is pulling the strings on all these puppets.
