I honestly don't think we will finish 2nd of we don't win today based on fulham rampage. We need to show a statement today If we win today wolves will feel the heat starting to build . jjaacckk91
The results at the top of the table this year have been ridiculous. At Christmas and even in January wolves were a lock for 1st.
Czechlad
Well none of the results went our way. We have to beat Wolves to stay in it.

Yes this week we do, easily change again next week etc, no panic if we do lose.

Draw today and beat qpr on tues and we could be 3 points off 2nd place - win or lose today there’s a long way to go yet .

Have to assume cardiff beats Brentford as well. With a draw against wolves, that puts us 6 points behind Cardiff.

Big assumption to think Cardiff will win at brentford - very hard place to go.
jjaacckk91
Ignoring everything else. Today we have a chance to guarantee we catch up 3 points with a team above us. We only have one other game this season where we can do this. Considering how hard it is to make up ground at the pointy end, a win here would be massive. villianusa
Looking at the remaining fixtures, I see Fulham taking 2nd and us fighting for 3rd or 4th. We have a tough April. I still have confidence we can get through in the playoffs.
holteend1982
Even if we don't make top 2 a result like this gives me confidence we could get through play offs.

Villa have improved from the last time we met ,and do think you can cause us some problems, especially with your record at villa park , and the crowd behind you . You will have to get off to a fast start, and most certainly have to score first and defend like your lives depended on it . Hutton was a class act the last time you played us and saved your bacon on more than one occasion. Shame he won't be fit for the return match . The problem you will have is , I don't think you will be able to cope with our attacking flair once again . The Keith wyness and villa situation will certainly have our players fired up, with no nuno team talk required , and with jota , bonatini and cav upfront , we are more than capable of dishing out a demolition job. Wolves will score goals I have no doubt about it , and you have caught us at just the wrong time with the demolition of Leeds in our previous match and our best player neves chomping at the bit, back into the fold. I think the best you can hope for is a score draw , and that's if you can get at our back 3 with grealish or adomah . Danny bath is not the quickest of defenders (hint hint ) but great in the air and doesn't sherk a tackle . Coady has been superb this season and big willy boly is first class , so don't expect any change out of them . Looking forward to the match which is hopefully a sell out with a great atmosphere. I would fully expect some mendez chants along with Keith wyness ones too , all in good humour of course. Good luck sat and for the rest of the season as you will need it . UTW Gutted we haven't got our score draw we could only hope for. Suppose a 4-1 spanking will have to do. Kuwabatake Sanjuro
Play off place pretty much guaranteed now, the Cardiff game is obviously huge and Fulham aren't going away. Wolves will have to stabilise at some stage but are in free fall. It is a pity Jack was out for so long at the start of the season.
alreadyexists Posted March 10, 2018 VT Supporter Share Posted March 10, 2018 (edited) This league is totallly crazy isn’t it!? It’s very entertaining even if the football isn’t quite PL standard. Edited March 10, 2018 by alreadyexists

ferguson1
Villa Park could be the difference during the run in and our crowd shouldn't be underestimated. Who will want to come to Villa Park now.
