Well done to Fulham. Wanted it way, way more in the first half and got the crucial goal. We needed to score in that dominant spell 50-65th minute and didn't. Looked tired after that. We bottled it m when it mattered most and we are going to have **** all money next season, midtable at best unless we find some shit hot manager which look at us we aren't going to. We're the new Forest guys, strap yourself in and prepare for 30 years of eating shit in the championship.

Still not quite sunk in just how pathetic we were in the first half yesterday.

Trying not to think about it because as soon as I do I get angry.

Still just feeling empty, going to take a long, long time to get over this.

For me there is no coming back from this for Bruce.  There just isn't.

Agreed, we were terrible and it means we fall short of aspirations.

I have serious doubts over Bruce's ability to improve on his shortcomings.

I should probably just let you feel the anguish or disappointment that you do, but were Bruce to win the first 5 games next season, what would you reckon about our chances then?

To me, it's not out of the realms of possibility.

I always want us to win, so that would not change even if the club makes the IMO catastrophic decision to retain Bruce.

But I don't think I can muster the strength to be enthusiastic about another season of Aston Villa under Bruce.

For me it would just be a long wait until he's finally replaced.

I just don't see any scenario where we are successful under him, short or long term.

You are right, he could even win 10 in a row.

The problem is we know we/he is just as capable of going winless for the 10 after that.

I would have given a penny for Dr Tone's thoughts, watching the game.

Well I’d be prepared to guess that he wasn’t thinking about watching it for a second time, TRO you crazy masochist.

I actually thought it wasn't so bad second time around.....but hey, perhaps the disappointment had subsided.

We could have won that on another day

It's really worrying times - we haven't a clue who will be in charge or what players we will have season - I'm dreading the possibility of us being the next Leeds/ Sheffield Wednesday
