Zatman
1st half was really poor and we started more positive in 2nd half and then conceded a stupid goal. after that we showed some heart and fight which is very unVilla but its a good sign at least I think its good we are unbeaten and winning games without actually playing really well at the moment

Popular Post TrentVilla Posted November 6, 2016 Moderator Popular Post Share Posted November 6, 2016 Teams play well after winning games it comes with the confidence of picking up results and through the impact good form has on your opposition. Bruce has worked wonders so far.

I agree completely, I wouldn't even rule out being 2nd. Bruce is doing excellently, and the frightening thing for the teams in this league is, we are not even playing well yet. If Bruce gets them playing some teams are going to get a pasting

I will start assessing him after 15-20 games + the January Window, obviously. Am i happy with his start? Not with the performances, but with the results. Am I convinced he is the right man for the job? Not yet, too early to judge. Time will tell, let's hope he will become good. Hang on. If we had 2 points from our opening 5 games, would you "start assessing him after 15-20 games + the January Window"? Of course you wouldn't. "Time will tell, let's hope he will become good." I'd say 11 from 15 and unbeaten shows he doesn't need to 'become good'.

I don't want his babies, I don't want to be tied down, just willing to take a pasting as a reward for his hard work. I'll derive only a little pleasure from it.

VillanousOne
I think Bruce has come in and shored things up got us winning again without really getting us playing good football all over the pitch although we are scoring which counts the most, but the overall improvement in quality will come later. It can be argued we are still top heavy, Jed and Gardener are playing well but they alone won't get us through the season, we need new players and to get Tish on the pitch.
