Pressure builds from here. However who comes in ? For all his faults I don't subscribe to anyone could do better.

What are you saying, that there's none better than Bruce out there?

probably the last season well have grealish. would hate to see it wasted playing this way we do under bruce. such a limited manager, such an average manager.

My only hope is that our owners are watching Brentford on Wednesday and appoint Dean Smith, id love to see him manage a squad with Hogan, Grealish and McGinn.

Why,

Somebody posted that last season we conceded 10 fewer and scored 10 more than Brentford. His whole managerial career specialises in mid table finishes  & he isn't involved in player purchases at Brentford, he doesn't even have the final say on tactics. Sure replace Bruce but not with this turkey.

Comes across as a nice man but that’s where it ends. We certainly rely on individual quality to get us goals and make no mistakes at the back which unfortunately for him isn’t working at the moment. It shows how limited we are as a team, there is no coaching done - it’s evident to see. For me it’s a damn shame; any other team gets 3 points today. We are so limited that even getting promoted I would think we are favourites to come back down. After last season make no mistake that is 2 points dropped.

not at all - but has to be someone like Brendan Rodgers or someone of that calbre. Not some fancy named wimp in a smart suit who has been managing in the 3rd tier of the danish league for example.

Bruce has my full support, still undefeated. To say we are having problems in some areas is true, finding players is certainly needed especially for defence and up front, soon as bruce finds those players, it will be like a (brucey bonus). Watch us go as a team, I would put a bet that we will be a force to be reckoned with reinforcements.

We should see a few lads come in by end of the month, then watch our game lift even more..

What is a Bruce team though? What style of play do we actually have?

I don't think we necessarily need to sack Bruce, just for gods sake set up the team to let them play football. It was embarrassing to see how our only tactic in the first half was to kick it long to the right for Elmo to head it forward to Kodjia. They noticed after 5 min and dubbled up, we didn't create anything with that tactic, nevertheless we continued with it. In Grealish, McGinn, Green etc, we have players who can play, so we don't have to play this way.

I must say it's a reckless style, but it seems to be pulling the wool over over teams so far. Sometimes order may not be the best way and a little chaos is needed. Here we have some crazy chaos from bruce and the lads and I'm all ok with it to be honest if it gets results..

Smith took Brentford to what was their rightful place in the division - Bruce meanwhile did not imo

When you say some areas, I assume you are referring to the area between the four corner flags?

Even more? Could we be so spoilt?

They were in the mix for promotion until the last couple of games. Higher than their rightful position.

If ever you needed a game to epitomise what Bruce is all about - then here you have it - no alternative plan B when needed just more of the same.

Poor tactics and overly cautious again, like the bad old days.

Once we decided to play football - and finally had enough footballers on the pitch to play - it was fine, or would’ve been if our players had kept their heads rather than blasting every chance cluelessly.

All our best football is played when we have at least 4 ( contributing) creative players on the pitch. Plus a Striker. Today we started with just 2.

Once he upped it to 4 we played some football.

Shoukdve counted as 3 but Albert is a passenger.

I don’t blame him playing Jedi at CB, I do t blame him for the GK dropping the ball, or for our players lacking composure.

And I don’t consider him a dinosaur, or that we are going backwards.

But I DO blame him for going back to his default position of excessive caution.

I'm not sure what to make of today. I bet on a draw in the end simply because I realised I would otherwise backing Villa to win their first 4 games of the season, which is rare.

We have to win that game today, especially when playing over half a game against 10 men. However, they were always going to shut up shop and that's when my hopes died because we rarely look able to break through that kind of defence.

I don't know if it's Bruce or the coaching staff but I don't see enough to make me think we will automatically go up this season.

We're playing terrible football. Can anybody really argue that? The question is, how long can we let it slide before the season is wasted? We haven't played anybody of any real quality yet and have made a meal out of every game. I understand that we had a turbulent preseason but we're not lookng like an improvibg team that is finding its way into the season. We just look shit.

I think we had a plan B, the way we played after the substitutions. The problem for me is that plan B should have been our plan A. I'm confident we should have won the game if our players had 90 mins to play, not just the last 25.

I don't think it is caution. It isn't. I watch him on the sidelines, I have never once heard him scream to drop off, quite the opposite.

They are just badly coached, and we have a severe lack of ideas right through the coaching team.
