Popular Post a m ole
I don't feel the slightest bit less excited about this campaign than I do Premier League ones. Can't wait for tomorrow.
Jareth Posted August 6, 2016 VT Supporter Share Posted August 6, 2016 1-1 we'll have the better of it and Mcormack will miss a sitter.
Chindie Posted August 6, 2016 VT Supporter Share Posted August 6, 2016 Tough start. We need to make a statement that the rot has stopped and we're not here to be a trophy scalp. Wednesday have built a decent side and have the momentum of a successful side last year. Our defence concerns me still and I suspect a draw is on the cards at best. Quite like Wednesday as a club, something I can't say about many sides in the country. One of the club's that in many ways are English football. Grand old names with history and gravitas.
AntrimBlack
It will be interesting to see just what level we are at in this league. Looking forward to it.
dudevillaisnice
I'll take a draw here but would be pleased with a win, wouldn't be too down if we lost providing I see a plan/improvement in place on the pitch. McCormack probably not fit to start either I guess. Either way should be good.

adam67
Excited for this one...we need to make a statement like Norwich did today. Sky box and TV booked from the Mrs, beer in the fridge...bring it on.
DCJonah
A point would be good. I just hope we give a good account of ourselves.
8pints
My massive hope is that we have tons of shots on goal and get the vast majority on target so hopefully a few go in. No trying to walk it in, just anyone in or around their box, especially in the opening twenty minutes, taking shot after shot.
RimmyJimmer
Me too...as long as we look like we're organised and the effort is there then, in my eyes, thats a massive improvement.

AVTuco Posted August 6, 2016 VT Supporter Share Posted August 6, 2016 Hopefully we are able to create chances, score a couple, and not break down in the end.
dpt666
2-0 down but come back to win 3-2 just like we did years back with a tea assembled from the David platt money from Bari
alreadyexists Posted August 6, 2016 VT Supporter Share Posted August 6, 2016 (edited) My team prediction of what RDM will choose: Gollini Hutton Elphick Baker Cissokho Westwood Gardner Tshibola Ayew McCormack Grealish I reckon we'll score in the first 5 mins, then concede two relatively late goals in the second half, lose 2-1, one of their goals could be an O.G. (I sound like mystic meg). I still can't wait to watch tomorrow though! UTV! Edited August 6, 2016 by alreadyexists

HalfTimePost
2-0 Sheffield. We aren't ready yet imo. Excited for it though. Probably more so than have been for last few seasons.

Although would prefer Okore over Baker and I'd still like to see Veretout come into the fold. Probably for Westwood.
