I watched the Sky feed of our game against Wolves yesterday. Anyone notice how many times the in studio after our game the women (sorry don't know her name!) mentioned how Manure were looking to catch Villa by beating Brentford...runs to phone checks table. We are at the moment 11 points ahead of them... Its absolutely killing Sky that that lot are doing so badly. Me as Mc Donald's say....I'm loving it!!!

I once went to catch the ball heading into the stands reserve game @ Walsall, missed fell over the empty row in front to see Steve Froggatt doubled up pissing him self at me!, as I'm extracting myself off the floor with zero dignity left!

Over from Saudi for this and the Arsenal game. What an atmosphere, i was sat behind the man city dugout, usually try to get into the Holte. The noise from all sides of the ground was unbelievable. Im getting the Ron Atkinson 92-93 vibes all over again! Gave Bailey MOTM but honestly couldn't pick fault with any of the 11. On to Saturday, cant wait UTV

When the 4th goal went in I was expecting to hear him throw his headphones down and rage quit the stadium! He did say some nice stuff about us but the other guy commentating was, I felt winding Lilly up a bit. Funny thought!

Just quietly gets on with it , loved his little tricks in the second half, looked like he went to jink left did a step over drove to the right and left the West Ham player for dead and played a pass out to the flanks. Really need to keep him and Dougie fit, these guys are the heart of the team.

Still finding his feet in the system, noticed when there was a corner to us a, few of the players giving him instruction as he looked at bit unsure where to be/running to. He did plenty enough in the time he was on the pitch to show he's going to be cracking player for us. bit more time on the training pitch and he will be ok

Happy with that, Had all the Jocks I work with/Know out here telling how Hibs/Scottish PL will steam roller us!!!! Great result, nice Hat-trick for Ollie, Digne class with the crosses and good to see Carlos get a Full 90 under his belt.. Once this team clicks its going to hell of a ride.

I work overseas, so decided to pop down to the Aston Villa Store yesterday (8/8) before i fly back thursday (nightmare getting stuff sent to Saudi). The shop is so chaotic, lot of kit without prices on, only the Home Kit available (wanted the Black Goalies Top) Staff were like 'if its not out we aint got it!' Not a good show a few days before the new season. Anybody know if this is a Castore issue or the club ?

I keep an Eye on Wycombe Wanderes and Lincoln as I lived in the areas on and off. Always wonder what Lincoln could of acheived if there double managers hadnt left to go to the Championship (Huddersfield?)

Saudi's I work with don't seem to get excited about Al-Ettifaq. Mostly all glory hunt the top European clubs Barca/Real/PSG. Its hard work having a conversation about football here at the moment, Messi is shit now as he didn't sign for a Saudi club! Newcastle allegedly will win everything next season as well. They think they will/can buy any player from Europe/prem and in 5 years the established leagues around the world will be begging for their players. I gave up even trying to explain how state owning 4 League clubs doesn't make for a very competitive league, as the Saudi way of making things happen is just keep throwing money at it, until they get bored and move on to the next project. I'm sick of them constantly telling me Aston Villa are shit but haven't ever watched us play.

Grew up in Northfield/West Heath. Mainly Blue with a bit of Villa, Moved away mid nineties, now when I go back see a lot more Villa about...Suppose you can get on the A38 and be in the Shires quickly. Mate.
