I think that comes from being outside the game and the "Sky sports" "Big 4" world we all inhabit and are constrained by. Clearly the highest number of fans all over the world will be about growing the fan base massively in China and India. Yeah, the weird thing is that he isn't just saying it. He is already doing things to try and make it a reality. I agree that stating that in 5 years that he wants us to be the top club in Europe with Man U spending more on one player this summer than our entire club is worth is a big ask, but if you aim for the stars you can miss and still end up with the moon. 2 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

In this case I think it's the opposite, pretty much like Tony is obsessed with the game and won't stop until he wins, or goes bust! Chinese geek style! Look at the evidence/facts... 1, Top CEO's from top business do not take to twitter like its a toy. Some of the stuff he is coming out with on there is frankly embarrassing. 2, If he is really serious and has the capital and serious funds the launch the club to another level, signings would have been made and the dross players would have been bombed out by now. After all, money talks. Look at Man City as an example. The Sheiks came in spent money, big money and just did the business to put them to another level. No Twitter crap, not big promises, they just didi it. At the moment it all feels like a big publicity stunt. I really really hope i am wrong, really wrong but i am not convinced.
