villan-scott Posted November 19, 2016 VT Supporter Share Posted November 19, 2016 I thought he did very well last night. Kept Knockeart very quiet, which isn't easy. Getting better by the game. Bruce seems to have his full backs not getting forward as much, Amavi was great at overlapping at crossing from the byline last season, but not seen much attacking intent from him or Hutton IMO.
Lord Willard
Knockeart is one of the best wingers in this league. He's Brightons best player from what I've heard and seen. Amavi kept him in his pocket for large parts of the game. Very impressed. Brighton wasn't a team that our full backs should be overlapping against. Weird seeing tactics in place.
AVTuco Posted November 19, 2016 VT Supporter Share Posted November 19, 2016 He's concentrating on defending. I like that. We don't attack with fullbacks anymore. I'm ok with that.
Mjvilla
He made a mistake when he misjudged it and the ball went over his head. When the play broke down, he put his hands on his head and looked gutted he made a mistake. Solid, if unspectacular last night. Which, in keeping knockaert quiet, means he did a good job. On a side note, how easy do knockaert and skalak go down. It's quite frankly embarrassing.
poitier
He made a couple of errors first half, the misjudged header could have been costly, but all things considered this might have been his best game for us defensively.
Demitri_C
I think Amavi is class, I want villa to offer him a new deal. His potential is massive
Zatman
he was better last night, probably even had him ahead of Adomah as man of the match since Knockaert is a dangerous player
Farlz
Another great game. Getting better and better as the weeks go. Was like the pre injury Amavi today as well getting past players and bombing forward. Brilliant to see.
Popular Post OutByEaster? Posted November 26, 2016 Moderator Popular Post Share Posted November 26, 2016 Brilliant today. Defensively sound, quicker to everything than his opponent and showed a willingness to get forward a bit more - culminating in his assist for our first goal. He's a quality footballer and exactly the type we need to hold onto.

JAMAICAN-VILLAN
This is the game where I think he has finally started to show what people (and Fifa) thought/think he is capable of.
AJ
Watched the highlights, and that run leading to Adomah's goal, it was all him. I am really liking our Amavi.

Woodytom
He was a lot better today. Does a few too many tricks in dodgy areas for me but has certainly improved.

dont_do_it_doug.
Chuffed for him and for us. He has come back from a horrendous injury and though he's understandably taken his time getting back up to speed he's looking an even better player than the one who went away. Having recently torn my MCL, which is not even in the same league as the ACL, I'm already fearful that I'll never be quite as confident just going for a run again. Never mind playing football to a high level. It has highlighted to me that as supporters, we often don't know what we're talking about when it comes to this kind of thing.
StefanAVFC
Did you do your knee Dave? You didn't mention it (This is probably unfair because I follow you on Twitter too but I couldn't resist)
Dodgyknees
I think we might lose him within 12 months. Unless we get promoted. I'm even concerned about January.
