Zatman
was a good win for them today, I notice the coach saying he preferred to be a coach than picking the team didnt know Fonz played for Swindon
Dodgyknees
QPR went for Holloway over Tim then, I guess that is why he ended up at Swindon. Marvellous.
Zatman
I know people like having a go at him but fair play to him for taking a job lower down. you see pricks like Giggs and Yorke expected to be handed higher level positions and not bothering with lesser teams
NoelVilla
This is his last job in football anyway. I dont expect him to have learnt anything. That poor head coach will be blamed badly.
sne
Anyone seen his? Quote TITTLE-TATTLE: RED BULL IN ‘ADVANCED TALKS’ TO ADD SWINDON TOWN TO THEIR FOOTBALL PORTFOLIO Chris Wright 10th, November 2016 3 Comments Word on the wire is that Red Bull are in “advanced talks” to add Swindon Town to their portfolio of company-owned football clubs. Swindon have scheduled a press conference to make a “significant” announcement this afternoon, with rumourmongers suggesting that the League One side are set to be bought out by the international caffeine peddlers. Yep, Red Bull Swindon playing in the Carabao Cup. Urgh. Red Bull already own New York Red Bulls, RB Salzburg and RB Leipzig, the latter having reached the Bundesliga after attaining four promotions in the seven years they’ve been bank-rolled by the energy drink company’s co-founder, Austrian billionaire Dietrich Mateschitz – much to the chagrin of just about everybody else. As for Swindon, we’re predicting the first Red Bull-mandated change will be the replacement of the humble robin on Town’s badge with a pair of rampaging steers, and the choo-choo train with a silhouette of Felix Baumgartner’s space-jump capsule. http://www.whoateallthepies.tv/football-league/246537/reports-red-bull-in-advanced-talks-to-add-swindon-town-to-their-football-portfolio.html Might explain why Sherwood was willing to take a few steps down the league ladder... dudevillaisnice
Bit of an odd setup there at Swindon. Wonder what will start happening when results start to go bad.

Never had a job other than as a glorified caretaker but expected to waltz in to a PL job. Turned down West Brom and Palace if I remember correctly. This is just a product of nobody in the upper leagues wanting to take a punt on him.

Czechlad
That is a very smart move. Blackburn would have completely killed his managerial career.

It was nothing to do with them not being willing to match his ridiculous salary demands... I am sure after the lack of offers his ego has took quite a pounding. Now he realises that nobody wants a big mouthed cocky git with no idea on how to set teams up, so he has made the step down - to work for a mate none-the-less.
