Popular Post Rob182
Was great seeing him and Lambert cheering at our goal yesterday.Has anyone got a gif. of this? I watched it online in Thailand and for all intensive purposes, it would have been more consistent listening to it on the radio...In the match thread, there is a separate thread which has links to the full match. You can watch the whole thing again if you want! (or just fast-forward to the goal, for all expensive purchases)...

CVByrne
I think our side is very well organised on the pitch. Richardson had mentioned that was what Keane was working with them on the training pitch. Obviously Senderos has had a huge influence on the defence too Seems like plenty of leaders in the dressing room now. Add to so many experienced professionals and our whole dynamic has changed.

Popular Post lapal_fan
I adore the fact that every defender celebrates like they've won the world cup when the whistle blows and we've kept a clean sheet. I'm so happy right now!

villa89
I don't know if it's Keane or Lambert but we are much better organised when we are defending now than we ever were in the last 3 or 4 seasons. We were a mess at the back last season and all over the place tactically. Someone has made a big difference and we look a much better side for it. villasam82
I think just having experience all over the park has done that villa89, hopefully we can continue this good run of form because wins and clean sheets breed confidence. Something which in the last few years has been lacking at our club.

foreveryoung
Keane's had a huge input, believe me! Its not just the new players. Its more than obvious Karsa an crew were just not up to the job, Keane is far superior to them and it seems Lambert is feeling the vibes too! Panto_Villan
I vaguely know one of the girlfriends of one of the players in our squad, so I am ITK here: apparently Roy Keane is scary and shouts at them quite a lot during training. B94villa
I know it's very early days but if we end up with less training injuries than last year that will be the biggest indictment of Culverhouse and Karsa imaginable. Bringing Roy Keane into the coaching staff should not make the training ground a safer place.
Panto_Villan
It's also interesting to note that Benteke has presumably not yet had to deal with Roy Keane yet - kinda keen to see what effect it has on his performances!

TrentVilla Posted September 16, 2014 Author Moderator Share Posted September 16, 2014 Posted elsewhere but also worth inclusion in this thread, love it. "On the first day of training, I didn't start the session that well," recalled Grealish. "He tapped me on the shoulder after a half an hour, saying 'Are you all right?' and I replied 'yeah'. Then he asked me: 'When do you start training then?'" https://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/news/football-lerner-farewell-galvanises-villa-talent-020000484--sow.html Guess who he is talking about ... great quote.
MrDuck
I never liked Roy, until I read his book a few years back. Born winner, honest, takes no crap from anyone, been there and done it all... exactly the sort of person we need at Villa, but so rarely have. No coincidence that the club has turned around since he's arrived I think.
