It seems Larry Ellison was interested in acquiring AEG when it was up for sale a year ago but the deal was called off. I think Lambert is gone either way, one reason being he has no coaching staff now, they are not gonna be easy to replace, they always seem to come with the manager. I find it a little strange how TBAR announced who the new owners are supposedly going to be. Then announced that someone else is in the running who has a lot of money, but they are not revealing who they are? That's not a dig at them before people get all defensive, just strange behaviour. Why reveal one but not the other? Maybe it was all true - but he was leaned on to be quiet.........thats the diminishing hope I am clinging to anyway ! I used to get inside info from a friend at Chelsea and i would share it on here and say outright "Ancelotti is the new manager" or " Sturridge has signed for Chelsea" I didn't say " I know who the new owners are but I won't tell you until after it's announced when I'll confirm that it was who I knew it to be " Ergo they are attention seeking and know nothing I know it keeps us interested whilst we speculate but my view on this sort of ITK stuff is say it outright or shut the heck up 6 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Their only credibility comes from them getting a tip off about Culverhouse going but it seems like that was the only genuine info and who knows how they came across it. To me, this sounds like Lambert knows he's at the end of his road with Villa, no matter what happens, and he's trying to explain away his rocky tenure with us. If he knew he was coming back or that the club was not going to be sold, he'd never have spoken so bluntly and critically. Lambert and Lerner are gone, the club will be sold.
