ozvillafan Posted August 4, 2014 VT Supporter Share Posted August 4, 2014 So if anyone is blaming Lerner not being able to sell this club, just think: which any potential owner could work with the infrastructure in place in modern football to make a positive difference to this wonderful club? In my opinion, there are few if any. Spot on. When Doug Ellis ran Villa, we were one almighty mess: - Lower league finishes, just above the regulation zone - Worn down infrastructure - Massive gap between us and the top clubs - A shambles of a board room (if we even had one) That didn't stop people being interested in buying the club when Ellis finally gave it up. I fail to see how these things have an affect on any prospective buyer now. I remember when Randy took over the club and had big plans for putting money in and getting us to be a successful club both on and off the pitch. Regardless of how that has turned out - what is stopping any potential buyers from doing the same thing now? FFFP, that's what.
