I like the young and hungry approach but with a bit more of a budget! I want to see progress year on year and not just do a Man City and spunk shed loads to challenge within a season. Something in the Dortmund mould would be good, spend some money on young talent, nurture them, watch them improve and build up to success. This will then get us more respect from the press and the football community than doing a Man City and have everything that follows seem hollow. Before you say something like 'I don't care how we look to other teams etc' you can't say when Man City or Chelsea win something there is less excitement... A feeling of inevitability about it, something that won't be there if Liverpool win the league or Everton get CL. Not saying that I wouldn't be over the moon with us winning things, I just want us to do it the sensible way that will make it even more sweeter and enjoyable.... IMO of course. Preferably in the Dortmund/Southampton mould, high pressing, quick transition from back to front (NOT HOOFBALL) exciting counter attacking side which can also keep possession and slow down the game to a tempo that suits us, instead of us defending our own 18 yard line and then lumping the ball up to Benteke, in the hope he may knock it down for someone to run on to. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

After all you don't have to be Einstein to realise that a buyer would want us to be in the PL and that would give RL the best price.
