Oh, I assumed that he meant the announcement last Monday that Lambert was staying as I remember him tweeting directly after the Lerner statement that there was a "firm buyer" in place. Those that are also spouting that there is NO buyer are as bad as those, in fact worse, than those claiming things may be happening or speculating about certain, potential buyers. Simple answer, if you don't like reading about speculation, then click in your browsers and go to the news channels and just wait for an announcement whenever that may be. Yes, it was the mcleish appointment that turned us in to a laughing stock not this Dave **** whelan on his soap box taking the piss out us All this has done in my mind is reaffirmed that one really gives a **** about us, I don't really read red tops but I'm guessing the lack of quotes here is because we aren't getting any coverage, nothing ever on SSN, only local rags really Can you imagine the coverage if Everton, spurs or Newcastle were doing this? Nobody is under any illusion as to the clubs predicament, but if we all sink into the same suicidal gloom we might as well log out and phone the Samaritans. That's football though Mike - the modern game is as much about 'enjoying' the balance sheet and the boardroom as it is about enjoying what's on the pitch - we're supporters of these companies and we want them to succeed against their rivals - the most successful companies can afford the best players and then can win things. Not being interested in or speculating on prospective boardroom changes would be an odd position for a supporter of a team - it's very much the same game as selecting a team pre match and seeing if it matches the managers - you might know full well that he's not starting Grealish down the left, but it doesn't mean he's not in the side you've put online. The clubs predicament is an online 'game', that's right - it's a pastime that we enjoy (if that's the right word) because we're fans - because we want our club to be successful and we want the best for it and we're therefore fascinated and excited by anything that improves it. To be angry about that seems strange to me - it's being angry about the way in which people follow the club, almost being angry with them for caring. I don't get it. There is no imminent buyer out there at the moment, that would seem true, but there will be at some point, it's inevitable. When that buyer emerges, I for one will be desperate to know who he is, what he's got planned, what he's all about, what he can afford to do and all of the other things that are being discussed here - won't you?
