Tail end of his career, and would probably love to spend it with Aston Villa. Barry- no loyalty to Villa and will earn more money playing for Leicester who are looking to add a bunch of new players, and have the money to do it. Still not make any sense? Got bored of waiting for an answer so looked myself Apparently he's on £90k per week so therefore he will come for £45k per week? Still a lot of money in our wage structure? It's when the players cost 5m and then the wages on top of that, is where our structure crumbles. 2 year contract, 40-45k a week, us sorted for this season at CB. Unfortunately, it's often the case with these Bosman signings, that the player or agent will just demand ridiculous signing on fees since the club hasn't had to shell out a transfer fee to sign them. Have these bad dudes been unable to locate Alderley Edge for the last half-decade, or have they just not been able to fit a trip there into their busy schedules? Barry and Lescott won't be coming for a more prosaic reason - money. Barry has spent a year being an instrumental part of a midfield that finished fifth in the table, and will have much better teams after him. Lescott wants more money than Vlaar is paid.
