The Scotland international, 32, joined the MLS side in January and has scored three goals in 14 league games. Tigers boss Steve Bruce said on Friday he was hopeful of having the former Wigan and Celtic man available for next Saturday's home game with Preston. "We hope we can get it tied up by the weekend. We look close," Bruce told BBC Radio Humberside. "He would bring experience and he's a good footballer to have at the top end of the pitch."
