D*lph made that midfield tick, when he played well as he did from March onwards Westwood and Cleverley did aswell. Without him we've seen how poor Westwood has been as that experienced premier league midfield player in our midfield this season and I really don't think Cleverley would've been much better. Veretout came from another level and new to the league. All these factors says that Veretout is a much better signing. Wether Cleverly had completed his form had hecstayed and help us gaining more points or not thats another case. Veretout didnt have the chances Cleverly had last season also. His fee could have and should have been used a lot better.
