P3te
You don't have a compound break without having major muscle and ligament damage too
Dodgyknees
Can't wait for him to be back. I'm a big fan of his.
sexbelowsound
We're probably looking at next season aren't we before we see him again?
alreadyexists Posted December 23, 2014 VT Supporter Share Posted December 23, 2014 It'll be great to have him back, he seemed really promising and it would be great to have an attacking duo that opponents really fear. And just another option up front. Is there an eta for his return, or is it all open ended at the moment? Would be great to see him in the new year
kurtsimonw
The score has our injury returns as follows Ashley Westwood (MCL knee ligament, expected to return Jan. 10) Joe Cole (hamstring, expected to return Dec. 26) Phillippe Senderos (calf/shin, expected to return Dec. 26) Nathan Baker (knee, no return date) Libor Kozak (broken leg, no return date)
villa89
I just hope he comes back. It was a horrific injury although it's not like he relied on his pace or anything.
bannedfromHandV
no but he did rely on being two legged!

paulfromsutton
As we don't know yet I would assume at least a month they will want him in training for weeks first too
Jay.P.A
I reckon we'll see him before the end of the season. Maybe March
VillaChris
Yeah April or May providing there's no further setback, guy deserves some luck. Or we could just leave it to next season like Okore.
Jay.P.A
Watching some videos on AVTV, think Vlaar hinted Kozak may be back sooner rather then later.
DCJonah
Be a nice option to bring on later in the season.
Jimzk5
Mayby about to return to training judging by he's tweet on the 29th November "last week of rehab in Italy, can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Thanks for your support"
VillaChris
Maybe but it would be light training at first, then non contact training e.g. running in straight lines, then twisting and turning and contact and then eventually practice games to build up his match fitness so you're looking at quite a few months, just like Benteke had to do. The_Steve
Kozak would benefit from some of Jack's crosses. More instinctive poacher.

LockStockVilla
"Libor is still away. His bone is knitting together which is a good thing. He's still a good bit away." From Paul Lambert...wouldn't expect him back until next season.
kevpants
The setback was that the bone wasn't knitting together correctly so he needed surgery, an extra pin or somesuch. I remember it being mentioned in a press conference. If the bone is knitting right as per Lambert it sounds like better news. The good thing about bones is they are either broken or not broken and once he's back he should have relatively few lingering issues with it. That's presuming the shards of bone didn't tear through his muscle and ligament tissue.
