It'll be great to have him back, he seemed really promising and it would be great to have an attacking duo that opponents really fear. And just another option up front.

Is there an eta for his return, or is it all open ended at the moment? Would be great to see him in the new year

Ah, doesn't sound like its going to be soon then, I suppose could be before the end of the season, but we won't know for a while.

Maybe but it would be light training at first, then non contact training e.g. running in straight lines, then twisting and turning and contact and then eventually practice games to build up his match fitness so you're looking at quite a few months, just like Benteke had to do.

The setback was that the bone wasn't knitting together correctly so he needed surgery, an extra pin or somesuch. I remember it being mentioned in a press conference. If the bone is knitting right as per Lambert it sounds like better news.

The good thing about bones is they are either broken or not broken and once he's back he should have relatively few lingering issues with it.

That's presuming the shards of bone didn't tear through his muscle and ligament tissue.
