villarule123 Posted July 20, 2013 VT Supporter Share Posted July 20, 2013 ... are offering free travel to every away game this season. Fantastic gesture, only downside is that you have to watch them play..
Panto_Villan
"play" It's a nice idea though. Does right by the fans and more travelling support might help improve the results.
AshVilla
I really think Stoke could be in trouble this season Mark Hughes... Haha
PieFacE Posted July 20, 2013 VT Supporter Share Posted July 20, 2013 Fair play to Stoke. That really good of them to do.

Rob182
I really wanted to see Stoke get relegated under Pulis. I might find it hard to despise them if they don't play their usual thuggish way.
VillaChris
Don't have a problem with them, it's a nice easy away game to get to even if the ground is in a horrible cold location. Probably more of the same, a flirt with relegation before pulling clear in April. Their defensive spine of Begovic (looks like he's staying now) Huth and Shawcross is one of the better ones in the bottom half.
AVFCforever1991
Hughes did well with Fulham, and Stoke are the same kind of size.. Who knows
turnbull
After making the fans suffer Pulis' anti football, it's the least the club could do. Should give them free entry to home games too.
Richard
Hoping they turn into a Charlton this season
HalfTimePost
Looked poor defending set pieces (Liverpool could've scored 2), had no creativity and no real striker. Going down if they can't sign a proper play maker and striker at minimum. Hopefully we can con them into panic buying Ireland.

Mantis
Speaking of Pulis, does anyone else think that he'll struggle to get a job again? I mean, on paper he's got an alright record but his Stoke side were so notorious for their "football" that any club that tried to appoint him would face serious opposition from fans, and rightly so IMO. VillaChris
Pulis won't get another prem job. I'm sure they'll be a few championship clubs in for him who went to get up, maybe Leicester? Saw the first half of the game yesterday, there was certainly a commitment to pass it a bit more from the centre backs rather than just lump it up at every opportunity to Crouch. But yes if there's a premier league side that needs a new striker or two it's Stoke. They could've still got a point from the fixture though. BTW how good is Asmir Begovic? He's better than some of the top club keepers imo, yet more outstanding saves yesterday.

coda
You would think but then Mcleish seemed to do ok. I was just thinking that I'd prefer Pulis as manager to the ginger one.
