I can't imagine a worse Friday night than being out on the piss in town. :P

You just need a better imagination.

When you have been stuck in for a few days while off work then when you want to go out nobody can be bothered.

Its Friday night ffs, my mates are early 30's but to speak to them you'd think they were 95+ and living in nursing homes. If they ever become single in future I'll make it a point to ignore their pleas.

My mates are the same these days. We literally never go out because they're all married and/or have kids. Which is great for them...

But any nights out need to be arranged about 6 months in advance.

I miss the days of a text at 4pm on a Friday simply saying "out tonight?"

Luckily the people I work with now go out semi regularly so I'm getting my nights out there. Quote novel socialising with work peeps as everyone I worked with at JLR were boring bastards.

Saved by a 59th minute evacuation. Think, fast shooting through main tunnel out of New Street station, real InterCity 125 express style, three carriages, first class at the rear.

But, definitely a second train at the platform though but waiting on a driver, service suspended until further notice.

Must have had a dodgy meal last night

Were you in stall number 4?

No, what's stall 4 ?

Ironically i was in a ladies (single cubicle room) but the gents single clubicle room was occupied. Needs must.

Whichever "lady" used it after would have thought "Jesus Christ I didn't know females were capable of such atrocity" better spray some perfume in here kind of thing after.

On a diet, and god damn, salad really is messing up my guts. It's like my body is telling me, "see Midfielder it wasn't like this when you were scoffing the Chilli Heatwave Doritos and the scotch eggs now was it. nooooooo, this is what you get for trying to be good" and that leaves me thinking "damn you guts, there's no right I can do by you is there".

We all have to log off, but mannnnnn these dietary changes are a mere two days in and not entirely pleasant. Anyway , response veered way off your reply. Sorry

WHEN you access Villa Talk via your phone and a combination of chubby fingers / keypad too small, you accidentally type CILLA TALK and google takes you to something Cilla Black related.

Me, I have fallen foul of this many times. Dieting, but the spasm will continue no doubt.

Women's FA Cup Final apparently being a bigger story than Saracens winning a second consecutive Champions Cup, according to BBC Sport, anyway.

Ridiculous thing to get pissed off about (I probably wouldn't go that far tbh), I know, but I guess it fits quite nicely in this thread!

Haven't been on a Cilla forum in ages. I imagine it's pretty quiet now?

Working in A&E, lad comes in asking for emergency contraception. I was distracted from running through the obvious jokes in my head as I was struck with the question why he didn't go to a pharmacy. The word removed.

Welcome to Saturday Nights in A and E. have you been drafted in as security mate? Because trust me, you're in for an interesting night. Come 3am, you'll have seen a million times worse than that. You're gonna be busy tonight my friend.

Edit, that chap there. Must be desperate if his missus / conquest has sent him to A and E of all places. That guy was a naughty boy earlier in the day and whoever he did the deed with he sure doesn't want her getting up the duff, even though he has plenty of time still to avert what for him is a crisis. Same day, damn.... he must be sh---ing bricks

Been doing it for a few months, this ain't my first rodeo.

Been pretty calm past few nights, Thursday was busy though, too many words removed coming in instead of waiting for their gp/walk in centre.

Which leads me to another thing that passes me off, we can't turn people away so they just clog up the system for people who have real need to be seen.

They'll be pushed way down the list, Monitor, the regulatory body, enforce four hour targets within which to have been seen. Those there, will be way down the list unless it's an easy night. Triage assessment will determine where they are on the priority list thankfully but yeah they will be seen. That's your tax £ at work there fella, being wasted by these chumps.

Im not asking where you're at and don't tell me, but how's the nurse situation there fella? and the doctors (not the dudes) Worked out the uniform colours yet?

Oh and another question, forget the triage nurses and the counter / reception staff.... what's the average age of doctor staff on tonight, 26-28 maybe? At the most?

Nurse situation is pretty bad the trust won't pay them at band 7 anymore so they tend to leave once they finish their training.

Green enp and doctors, dark blue nurses, light blue hca's?

Doctors seem pretty young might be a locum or two over 30.

Another thing pissing me off, the staff parking charge is going up to £30 per month in June.

W t f don't they have subsidised parking? Ours is 80p for 24 hours. Also V01 I meant how's it you know, looking, you know well, "you know" is what I meant. ED is a hotbed, in my experience, the juniors and registrars but the occasional taxi (oops I mean paramedic).... Words words, pretty ladies I mean. And I originally meant that so as to distract you from the "customers" who were pissing you off.

That aside, I get what you mean about the band sevens. They may be amidst an ahem, "workforce review" hence the freeze / reassignments / rotations most trusts are looking at 20m cost cuts / savings minimum this financial year as Tesco say "every little helps", pathetic yeah weaken the front line great idea. Anyway, have a good night V01 I'm outta here. Keep your eyes peeled on my behalf.

Edit also mate you have no idea how much those poor sods have to work towards targets, the four hour one especially. Spinning plates comes to mind; as an analogy. Many plates, on unstable sticks and a quicksand flooring within which to step to spin them. Yeah this cynic needs to go. "laters dude"

Yes can add this to the clearings in the woods who walk into you because they are glued to their phones. Kind of wish for a giant electromagnetic pulse attack that destroys all of these devices.
