Demitri_C
Don't agree about enormous contracts. Think Newcastle are in bigger trouble if they go down. At least their players part time give a shit ours are full timers
mikeyp102
Yes we take the piss out of them, but fair play to their players for actually showing passion yesterday. Shame ours couldn't even muster that!
CarewsEyebrowDesigner
I'm enjoying this increasingly bitter relegation scrap between the two north-east clubs. Unless Palace collapse completely, which I would like because Pardew is a turnip, one of them will be going down. Newcastle would be funnier but I kind of like Rafa, whereas Sunderland are a dislikeable club all round.

We could really do with a player like him. Direct and makes things happen.

CarewsEyebrowDesigner
Townsend and/or Lennon providing width and crossing the ball for Gestede was probably Sherwood's ideal. Instead we got Traore who, talented as he may be, was not what we needed to survive and certainly not worth the money he gets paid.
VillaChris
Townsend's one of those players who'll be complete rubbish for 90 minutes and will hit a pot shot from 25 yards which will fly into the top corner and everyone then thinks he has a great game. He's not a difference maker if the whole 11 is shite, how many games have Newcastle won since he's been up there?

OutByEaster? Posted April 18, 2016 Moderator Share Posted April 18, 2016 £10m is about average for a Premier league player - I'd say he's at about the right price.

VillaChris
They really should've appointed him much sooner, laughable McClaren lasted until Mid March.

Also giving him a seat on the board made no sense. He's clearly a terrible manager (anyone can see that) but he might be a decent coach.
