Maybe both Mattrick and Zynga hope to make themselves each look less shit by association with each other. When really, it just makes both of them doubly shit. I assumed they'd do the usual thing where on launch day he'd say that he had accomplished everything he wanted to and was moving on, saving both parties the embarrassment of a pre-launch departure. That won't do their stock price any good, as it's another fine example of shocking upper management policies. He's only one guy, but he was the face of it, and that he was allowed to screw up so royally across the board (in terms of some of his interviews) is shocking.
