It is, however, just illiterate nonsense in that form as it's missing crucial words in the correct order. tonyh29 Posted May 10, 2023 Share Posted May 10, 2023 (edited) I think it's unlikely he will appeal tbh , he's sorta got away with the more serious charge (rape) and the deformation was essentially about him saying he'd never met her ? as some have said it probably won't hurt him enough to ruin his chances of winning the nomination .. an appeal just brings it back to the publics attention and reaffirms the accusation / actual crime with 12 months to go for the nomination I haven't followed the case closely but was just reading a Guardian article about the verdict , In the context of the case , i.e she claimed "Trump forced her against a wall and pulled down her tights before pressing his fingers into her vagina and raping her. " The jury were directed not to worry about "beyond reasonable doubt" , decided she hadn't proved, by a preponderance of the evidence, that Trump had raped her ... yet found him guilty of sexual abuse Does that mean they didn't believe her rape story and Trump could arguably have won the deformation case (maybe the whole case) if his defence had been it was consensual , rather than denying the event had ever happened ? ?
