Yeah, this is very strange. In theory, NYCFC exists for precisely this reason. To tap into the domestic talent pool in the U.S.

I'd actually say that they bought a new york club in 2013 to coincide with opening a new route between Abu Dhabi and JFK in 2013...

Same with their Mumbai team, and their Japanese and aussie teams

Their is an alternate purpose to their play things

Apparently have sent cease and desist letters from the lawyers to some football YouTubers about mentioning the 115 charges

Intimidating kids to protect from fair reporting. Very cool.

I'm confused, are they not facing 115 charges of wrongdoing? In which case, what is wrong with reporting that fact?

I really want to see these scum relegated.

Goldbridge releasing the whole letter today I think.  Should be interesting.

I hope copies of these letters go online

From what he said, he's reading out the entire thing.

I said before, fans need to do their bit with relentless chants and banners calling them cheats. City need to be embarrassed to win games.

The media won’t call them out but fans around the world can.

Yes but German fans have actual integrity where we… lack it somewhat.

I wonder if it's a classic case of law firms saying 'here is a possible breach, let's file some letters and milk that Man City cow a bit more'.

I suspect the letter is not saying “don’t talk about it” it’s probably saying something along the lines of “don’t say we’re guilty or have committed crimes that have not been proven” but in legal speak.

They have no leg to stand on telling people they aren’t allowed to mention something, but they might argue that if particular people in media (and social media) are suggesting they are guilty then it’s not appropriate.

Worse, i think the PL / football stadiums in this country outright rule over the use of banners and flags

If someone hung a "**** man city" flag from the upper holte something tells me it wouldn't be up for long

Man City are an amazing football establishment. We are just jealous bitter Villa fans.

I for one can't wait until they showcase their exceptional talented players, acquired through organic growth, loyal fanbase and absolutely destroy Tottenham next week.

Imagine if a streaker ran on to the picture against them with 114 charges written on their chest.

Then as they're escorted off the pitch, another one jumps on...

Then another...

Until 114 have been on.

They'd have to cancel the game and media couldn't ignore that and club's would struggle to stop it.

This would be brilliant.  Although they might have to do it again the next game because its 115.
