For all the laughs and jokes Chelsea are a young, naive yet talented team.

Apart from around 20 minutes (down to 10 men), they've outplayed us 3 games this season. We need to be really on it (crowd included) Saturday night to beat them.

Your showing them to much respect, they have just been thumped , it should have been more than 5!

There's illness in their squad, they have outplayed us once, when we had played mid week and was missing our first choice CB pairing.

3 nil ollie hatrick.

Chelsea have been warned they could be hit with a mammoth 15-point penalty THIS season in a move that could plunge the Blues into an unexpected fight for Premier League survival.

It’s been a difficult season for Todd Boehly‘s expensively-assembled squad, who on Tuesday evening were pumped 5-0 away to Arsenal and earlier this season missed the chance to claim a first trophy of his era when they let an inexperienced Liverpool side off the hook in the Carabao Cup final.

That would be shocking by the way - it would be a nothing penalty - taking Chelsea's bad season and making it worse but not catastrophic (they'd still be safe from relegation) whilst leaving them with a clean sheet for next season when presumably they'll be a little bit better. They'd lose maybe £14m for the league placings, but other than that it would just be a punishment for display - there's no real sporting sanction.

If Chelsea are breaking any rules on financial fair play and require a punishment, it should come at the beginning of next season - for me, all FFP punishments should be sorted in the pre-season.

Well that sounds exactly like what the PL would want. It looks like they are handing out a big punishment while actually doing Chelsea/The Saudis a huge favor. Bit like that limp slap on the wrist that Serie A gave Juve last season.

That's just clickbait headline. Any points punishment and Chelsea would appeal. And completely at odds with the procedures this season e.g. club gets charged, hearing takes place a few months later and then decision is made 2-3 weeks later with then appeal being heard a further month or two later.

Yet Chelsea just going to be hit with -15 in two weeks and that would be that.

They'd still stay up with that punishment aswell.

I think Chelsea would say thank you very much and laugh all the way back to Stamford Bridge - their bad season would still be bad and they'd have a clean sheet going forward.

I really don't understand why that isn't possible. A big part of FFP is the accounts submitted on June 30th. It really shouldn't take months to scrutinise all 20 clubs and quickly establish which clubs have breached and which haven't. The press and financial experts do that in a matter of days. The charge them towards the end of July and have hearing and punishment during the August.

At worst you get any points penalty in by August/September so at that stage there's still 100 points to play for so it doesn't negatively impact as much as Everton/Forest getting points deducted in April when the games are running out.

Haven't Chelsea qualified for this World club thing happening next summer? Hilarious but they'll also get a huge amount from just competiting (although it's a month long so completely disrupts pre season).

the best part of this is all this overpaid average chelsea players are on 7-8yr contracts.

Imagine having to pay Nicolas Jackson at your club for the next 7 years.

Most are on 80-100k that signed up because extended contracts. Dendoncker was on 90k

It won't happen this season but they could be in trouble with PSR next season. Probably why the nonsense selling club hotels to owners is BS workaround attempt to not fall foul. The PSR compliance period for this season was done Jan 15th and Forest and Everton didn't comply

If Chelsea is docked points this season, do not mean they are in the clear for next season.

Remember the rule is that they can’t lose more than £105mill over 3 season.

Now get done for losing £170mill over three seasons; 21/22, 22/23 and 23/24.

I do not believe that they will have the income next season, to make the numbers any better over 22/23, 23/24 and 24/25 season, so potentially they get -15points next season too, + maybe additional points for being a serial offender.

We're in danger of copping the backlash 😬

There is a high chance if we beat them convincingly, that Poch will get the sack.  Would be kind of ironic, that the club he supposedly turned down got him the chop.

Chelsea supposedly wanting Amroim if Poch goes in summer.  It would be a typical Chelsea thing to do, sack Poch with huge compensation and then pay Sporting huge compensation for his replacement 🤣

They won't get 15 points ever, because I'm pretty sure it was addressed in one of the PL judgements that as administration is 'only' a 10 point deduction it wouldn't make sense to give a team a deduction greater than that for going into administration. Not sure whether that makes the cap 8, 9 or 10 points though.

The big picture is that you're right, Chelsea are in a much *worse* PSR situation next season, not better. In the normal course of operations, they could be something like £150m over their PSR limit next season, without any financial engineering like the hotel transaction.

This is why I said on a previous page that you cannot completely rule them out as candidates for a relegation battle next season.
