Yes Paedo or not, he was still the Home Secretary that lost the dossier handed to him, which could have put an end to a lot of this decades earlier. Time will tell on that, don't be proclaiming some kind of moral victory yet. Brittain did meet him and challenged him to provide proof , that never materialised , the Brittian letters are even in the public domain Brittain losing dossiers that didn't exist , now there's a story ...
