That aged well 😉

To be fair, he was shocking first half!

I posted it after the game.

I'm never bothered by City losses, they're essentially playing a different sport

The first assist for Haaland shows you why he'll never score enough goals, he was clean through and a player of his ability should be slotting it past the keeper but he didn't for a minute fancy it and couldn't wait to square it to Haaland.

If some of our players looked up and made the correct pass we would score more goals, instead of going for the "Hollywood goal"

Its a team game....

Jack looked pretty miserable after he missed a couple of decent chances in the first-half, and a diagnosis of a case of the yips was easy to make.

The fact that Haaland had missed three chances earlier wasn't going to spoil the fun for the haters, but hey, football has always been more about hate than love, and I was enjoying my hatred of Leeds as well as a strong dislike for the referee, who was pretty lenient with the northern cloggers.

Jack looked bright and breezy when he came out for the second-half, and popped up in the centre of the park to intercept an under-hit pass from the guy who was the first to kick him, and instead of trying to go round the goalkeeper, he clinically slid it sideways to give Haaland a tap-in.

City never looked entirely secure at the back and they definitely needed a third, and Jack set up Haaland for his second with a simple perfectly weighted pass, and City looked home and dry.

Osculation ensued!

At this point the referee suddenly remembered which pocket he kept his cards in and started booking players for stuff he'd encouraged previously.

Substitute Klich got booked for a foul on Jack, which seemed to upset Gnonto, who for reasons unknown, started shoving Jack, which earned him a booking.

So Jack was left to smile all the way to the bathing area.

Nearly every pro shoots there. He bottled it and Haaland wasn't expecting it nearlt got it caught under his feet. His finsihing is why he wont ever make it at city.

Him getting 2 assists for the world's best striker says otherwise

They didn't buy him for his finishing, it wasn't good at villa

Pep will love that goal

This is a strange take.

Haaland absolutely was expecting it. He was running and calling for that exact pass.

The reason it nearly got stuck under his feet was because it wasn't actually a very good pass by Grealish.

Still, choosing to criticise him for doing the right thing in that situation is very strange

Its easy to say its the right thing because it ended up as a goal. He has no confidence in his shooting. 2 assists and 1 goal this season (less than Dougie) is excactly why he's struggling at city to say it isnt is just silly really. Foden, Silva and Mahrez all shoot and probably score there and its why Jack plays against Leeds rather than Madrid or Liverpool.

The problem for your take here is that the worse you rate his shooting ability, the better the decision to pass it was. If he 'has no confidence in his shooting' (maybe!) then clearly passing it to the world's best finisher was a good plan.

Well its the same really. The lack of confidence or ability in his finsihing means it was the right thing to do but also shows his short comings. He has 4 premier league goals for City and most of them wins of over 5 goals.

Absolute nonsense, the pass was the right decision. It turned a tricky one v one with the keeper into an open goal, and the man to his left was the best goal scorer in world football at the moment. No brainer to pass there.

And that's why it's a bit bizarre to criticise someone for giving a team mate a tap in

The liklihood of Haaland scoring from the pass is higher than any player on the planet taking the shot on

But he wasn't a goalscorer at villa

Its a bizarre stick to beat him with

Scoring 14 in 2 previous seasons i dont think double figues playing for the best team in the country isnt unrealistic, but you're right creation is his forte and 5 assists isn't excatly pulling up trees either.

Creating for arguably the best striker in the World - who does Grealish think he is ffs?  Will never make it.

I always want my players to take lower percentage shots.

For example if you're on a break 4 vs 2 don't do that passing stuff. Just slap it in from 40 yards.

These players nowadays.

Gutless.
