There have been over 200 complaints to the ASA over that Crown Paints advert

It might end up on my daughter's desk

200 is that all? The way they were going on i though it would be a lot more. We had more complaints from someone burping in the office

Missus is watching her murder programs and it’s just gone to an ad break and it’s all Irish adverts. Bizarre.

Is she watching via a dodgy firestick app?

Sometimes that happens when I watch football at my friends house 👀

Nope, freeview. It’s happened twice so I’m guessing birminghamTV get their feed for this particular show from Ireland. Just wasn’t expecting it.

Edit wrong thread

But I typed it because I wanted to say I watched bosch legacy on that amazon freebee app or whatever its called

Absolute garbage as a media player, the ads were constantly out of sync knocking out the subtitles or worse resulting in it skipping 10 seconds to catch itself up

Ah, this popped up on my Kindle and I thought my son had downloaded something weird by mistake.

I can't watch it being in the former Socialist Republic of Bulgaria, though.

i've thought about it a lot because of the different rights in each country its weird what isnt available on various streaming platforms in germany, UK netflix has far more content

but then at the same time im already using kodi to pick up all the HBO stuff

my issue is subtitles for the wife, she feels more comfortable with them on if we watch something in english - but then this new amazon app the subtitles didnt work anyway

Is it worth it?

Well it is if you can watch programmes you otherwise couldn't. No idea about Bosch Legacy but tbh, living in Bulgaria I'd just get me a dodgy firestick and watch whatever you want, no-one will give a shite if you're in Bulgaria

EDIT: and that includes pretty much EVERY Villa game live

I guess they might iron themselves out. I remember the first Amazon premier League games being 'kin awful and almost 2 minutes behind.

I was more on about the FreeVee app from Amazon. I've already got IPTV and Kodis and other nefarious ways of getting things.

Does anybody ever get the urge to want to have a full body health check? With all the cancer awareness and stuff thrown in your face every day I'd be lying if I said my anxiety wasn't 'flaring' thinking about it. I've not got any symptoms of illness or anything, but I just keep thinking "What if?" and a part of me, for peace of mind more than anything, would like to have ALL THE SCANS to find out.

I've lost 2 people in the past 2 months to cancer, and my Granddad was given months last October - so I think it's just a bit close to home at the mo.

Not sure if it’s a real thing but I remember seeing on scrubs or some other American show that they were offering full body scan to check the entire body for illnesses.

Might have been made up for the show or possibly something you can pay for in the US.

Just go for it, a blood test alone will show up a lot if anything is wrong

Yeah I've thought about that a lot but then how do you even get one and how often would you need it?

Cancer could be dealt with in most cases if caught early enough, I hate the thought of people just walking round with this avoidable ticking timebomb.

Karen Brady (I know,  I know) had a private scan that showed up some aneurysm in her brain no one knew was there and probably saved her life.

She must have had some symptoms for them to have done a head scan as they dint usually do that on a regular checkup.

Glad she is ok though
