Watched The Internship (Vince Vaughn, Owen Wilson as two redundant salesman who manage to get an internship with Google) and expected the worst. However, it was amusing (with a few very funny moments) albeit, formulaic and totally predictable.

I liked it it.... (I feel dirty for saying it )

Watched Ex Machina with the missus last night. Good stuff, although we both kinda felt it was probably 20 mins longer than it needed to be. Good sci-fi stuff should, imo, always leave you questioning and thinking and it ticked all the boxes there.

Watched some decent films recently.

Dark Places - 7.5 - murder mystery thriller, written by the author of Gone Girl

Z for Zachariah - 8 - post-apocolypse film with Chris Pine (Kirk in Star Trek), the black guy from 20 Years a Slave, Charlize Theron.   Slow non-hollywoody film.

Dope - 8.5 - coming of age film about a black kid in the Bronx. Great soundtrack.

Mad Max - 9 - crazy crazy all-out action film. Does what it says on the box.

San Andreas - 6 - standard disaster-porn hollywood film, but done reasonably well.

Inside Out - 7.5 - latest Pixar film, original concept, not quite as good as previous Pixar films.

Mission Impossible:Rogue Nation - 6 - the usual action, rehash of previous MI films.

Paper Towns - 7 - teen drama, written by author of The Fault in our Stars

Tomorrowland - 6.5 - decent family Disney film

And people tell me opinions can't be wrong! [emoji14]

Not sure if you're saying it was better or worse than my rating?

For me, best to worse was 3, 4, 5, 2, 1

I actually agree with your ranking of the films. But I thought 3 and 4 were very, very good action films and both definitely better than a 6.

I agree that 3 and 4 were fantastic films. I didn't give them a 6 rating, only Rogue Nation (5th film).

MI3 I'd give a solid 8 rating.

Oh, what a dumbass I am. For some reason I had it in my head that Rogue Nation was the name of #4. Agree completely then.

Enjoyed The Martian.  Matt Damon puts in a good performance and it's a good all-round cast.  I've also probably mentioned before that I have a thing for Kate Mara

I'd have enjoyed the film even more if I wasn't sitting beside a kid that was the loudest breather in the world.  Intent on struggling to breath through what was clearly an almost totally blocked nose.  Only occasionally stopping in order to talk to his Dad instead.  FFffffuuuuuu.
