Played well tonight further out wide. He's so clearly a winger tbh

I agree. Hopefully Unai has ditched him as a support striker for good as it just restricts him and Bailey having to stay central constantly.

SJM suspension at least gives us option now to see what 4-3-3 looks like against West Ham and Wolves so two decent games to see if it's worth keeping for the full run in.

We really need to be patient with him.

Crazy thing being we have bailey who has already been on that journey, it'll come

DIIII-AAAAAAA-BEEEEEEEEEEE

MOOOOOOOUSSA!

Thought he did well tonight, some lovely touches, and nice a finish too. Kick on brother, if Bailey, Watkins and Diaby are all firing then every defender in the Premier League will be shitting themselves

He needs to do that in the Premier League consistently, only then can we say he was worth the money. One swallow and all that.

If Bailey can produce the goods on a regular occurrence, then so should Diaby be able too. Let's  hope tonight's goal provides the self - belief he has so clearly been short of.

First chance was emblematic of his troubles this year. In the right position, beat the keeper to the ball and then just didn’t know what to do with it.

But played 3 different positions in game (support striker, RM, and LM) and just looks so comfortable out wide.

Hoping he can kick on from here. If he can win us 3-4 matches in the stretch run, value returned for year one.

4-3-3 how? I still think he’ll go with a Tim or Teilemans next to Luiz.

Tielemans dropped in next to McGinn and Tim to form a 3 with Bailey and Diaby out wide. It was only for a few minutes but pretty interesting. They still nominally played a 442 out of possession but the shape was definitely unique. Don’t think Duran, Bailey and Diaby have been on the pitch together except Palace at home?

If Diaby shows his early season form now to the end of the season, it will help massively with getting 4/5th.  Diaby and Bailey running riot down the right and Watkins through the middle, not many teams will want to be facing that.

Thought his passing was also much improved last night. Either on the right or left, he threaded a few through to McGinn and Moreno that were inch perfect.

Needs a bit of work on his positioning though. He tends to follow the ball after he's passed it and ends up far too close to other players. Just "give and go" training needed.

Very positive though. Hopefully whatever confidence issues he has will be helped with that display.

Great to see Moussa score! Hopefully, his confidence will now improve. With all our injury problems etc we desperately need our record signing to find some form.
