villarule123 Posted May 11 VT Supporter Share Posted May 11 Someone will get a winner in this as Burnley will have to go for it if they're level towards the end.
Rodders
I still fear a spurs late goal but at least if they do win it shouldn't be more than by 2 goals.
jayEm
If Spurs just win this 2-1, and manage a draw at City, they need a GD swing of 8 across three fixtures (them v. SHU, us v. Liverpool and Palace) which is obviously possible but a bit more unlikely. If they'd battered them 4-0 today it would be a swing of just 5 which, across three results, really isn't that much. Of course the simplest thing to do is to beat Liverpool.
grobs
It’s a shame Burnley need to win. Otherwise I’d fancy them to hang on
jackbauer24
Burnley HAVE to win, so will push forward and probably concede as Spurs counter. But keep score down is main thing today.
Indigo
Over the course of the season Burnley have played some of the most naive football you'll ever see. Just wouldn't trust them to get anything from this as the moment they self-destruct never feels far away.

In the scenario where Spurs beat City and Sheffield and we lose to Liverpool and Palace, though, a goal difference swing of 9 is not that unlikely. The GD would be within 5 if they were all just 1 goal margin results. The key thing, though, is that Spurs need to beat City in this scenario.
