Are the replica shirts this bad? Considering different materials are used for replica and authentic, perhaps the replica material would be better?

Like I said the other day I've no issue wearing my replica at the gym.  Again I don't know what the deal with who actually makes the kits, whether it's Fanatics or Castore but is seems weird we have it so much worse than the other Castore teams.

I thought second half they were fine (for the first time) - which makes me think they swapped them for fan replica kits maybe rather than the pro version at half time?

If you look at the images from the Watkins goal and post match they’re not like they have been in every other match.

Yep didn't think they looked quite as bad yesterday and I only saw the second half.

Tin foil hat firmly on. Gerrard is mates with the owners of castore so maybe this is their little bit of spite for sacking him. They must know we won't renew the contract.

No spite, they’re just as shit as each other at their jobs…

The club won't sell adult shirts without the sponsor on.

Actually I bought one from the club shop about 4 or 5 years ago. They were selling unused training kit. Loved it. Reminded me of a time when the only emblem on the shirt was the club badge. I realise why they do it, but still think it turns players and fans into walking billboards. Oh for those long ago days when money didn’t dictate everything in the game. I’m getting old.

Strangely, if the club jumped onto DHGate and grabbed 20 knock off Chinese numbers for the squad they would probably look better on the pitch.

Not that I condone that sort of behaviour obviously

i wonder if the issue will be slightly improved when the days weather changes and the players start wearing base layers underneath the shirts

The only way you'd be getting a sponsor-less one is if/when match-issued shirts pop up for sale from specialist vendors (classicfootballshirts, eBay etc.) once the season's over, they won't ever be mass--produced.
