This must be a record for the same team to hold the exact same position after x amount of games?

Excluding top or bottom

How many games in a row have we held 11th?

Edit - missed the comment about not including bottom.

I hate it I hate I hate it. Woke up with optimism - anticipation - expectation. Will go to bed deflated - disheartened - frustrated.

Yeah but you *might* not… and that’s what keeps us going I think :)

Villa find themselves 8th in the form table based upon the last six games, one place below Arsenal.

Crystal Palace are third from bottom in 18th.

Chelsea are 15th, playing Leeds in 19th.

A win for Villa and a draw for Chelsea would take Villa into that land of promise and dreams, known as the top-half.

Palace have had five draws and one loss, in their last six.

With equal luck and determination, Villa should win.

It would be a terrible day if they decided to rest on their laurels.

Sadly, Villa rarely seem able to seize a good opportunity, or even recognize that one exists, even under Emery. Which is why it will not surprise me if we play like crap and lose.

It's a bigger game than I'd considered. Looking at the table I think Europe is out of reach at this point, but our business in summer will be an easier sell if we're a top half time pushing for Europe than if we're in that pack of "just clear of relation". Really good chance to put daylight between those two groups today.
