Also doubt he'll sign for us Agree with the first bit But because he's out of contract I'm not so sure on the second, could have signed for anyone for 4 months now and yet he still hasn't, was linked with the likes of barca and utd before Xmas yet didn't sign for either, was heavily linked with Newcastle but hasn't signed, I'm not sure if his stock is actually as high as the media and his agent make out or if he's holding back for a reason, there's something fishy about him and I don't think it's wage demabds and for that reason I think he could "drop" to a club at our level Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

But when you have the likes of Scumcastle who will be looking at similar players, they will be throwing huge wages at players, we are going to have our work cut out. With him being a free agent, we can give him a sizeable signing bonus and then give him the 100k+ he wants and it would still work out cheaper than signing a player for 30m+ on the same wages. The fact that all three of Lange, Purslow and Gerrard went to Marseille means this is close or talks are at advanced stages. Not saying it’s done by any stretch, but it would be close. Would love to announce Coutinho and Kamara in the next couple of weeks.
