Andy Gray went from us to Wolves then Everton. He joined us from Dundee or Dundee Utd, I can’t remember which v

He did the first time, but then came to us after Everton for the second stint… albeit it didn’t last long before he was off to Baggies

£23 million is really the 11th highest LB signing of all time? Seems crazy to me.

If this is the list people are relying on then it’s not adjusted for inflation, some of those in the top 10, and even top 15 are from 5,6 or even 10 years ago. I think transfer prices have risen well in excess of inflation too… so I would say he probably isn’t even top 15-20 when that’s taken in to account.

Coentrao for 30m was crazy. He wasn't that good.

I love these stats. 11th most expensive left back?

SKY always like to come up with these, like the first left footed south american player to score on consecutive mid week games.

Too much trivia for me!

Chris Wood will be the first player to sign for Newcastle who scored from the same position at Turf Moor in the same season*

Fair play to Luke Shaw for being on both the most expensive LB of all time list and biggest clearing in the woods of all time list.

Yes, he is, - that's him there in third 😆.

Unrelated - but little peculiar that 3 of the top 4 most expensive left backs are Senegalese/part-Senegalese.

Inflation or not, still crazy price considering contract length, form and age, never thought he is that good either. Hickey would be most likely more value for money.

I bet Benjamin has put Ferland in an awkward position ain't he?

* Just realised how many angles can be taken from that line.
