I dont care, I love gassing the Arsenal fans.  They are so fumed that little Villa dare try it's hysterical.  I normally wouldnt care but Arsenal and Spurs fans are so full of themselves and what their club are, and after the ESL debacle last season I love the disrespect we are dishing them whether real or fake.  If it is real and we do sign him (I dont think we will) then that will be even more delicious.  Although if we are putting in a second bid if real then maybe there is something real here or encouragement from somebody or party

You inspire me to follow up what I was posting earlier—small sample, but my Arsenal-fan friend doesn't give a shit. My two Spurs friends are pretty chilled out people too and it's possible you're just engaging in the mire of fuckheads on social media and reading it as something bigger.

Up until two years ago due to work requirements I had to work in London for about 2-3 months per year for 10 years and so I've kind of lived in London and socialised in London for a long time and what I see on social media is just an exaggerated version of real life.  Yes, there are many good Arsenal and Spurs fans who are very reasonable but a vast amount that arent.  The contempt they have for clubs like Villa, Everton and co is incredible.

Whenever you talk about London teams with them the disrespect they dish out about non-London teams that arent in the big four is incredible.  The level they think they are at is the Liverpool, Man City, Chelsea and Man Utd's.  So I have a solid basis for my opinions of Arsenal and Spurs fans given the amount of time I lived and breathed London.

Not sure that they will be giving it to you straight.  I don't think we'd be too happy if one of them came in for Chuckie or Louie Barry??

I am signing up to an Arsenal forum to share my views about matters relating to Arsenal FC. To do so I will, obviously, need to create an account under the persona and avatar of the silent protagonist from the 1998 Konami RPG Suikoden 2,

It would be so funny if we managed to sign him. I don't even care if he's any good, I just want it to happen for a laugh.

He’s damn good, I hope we do get him but there will be lots of competition for him

The deluded arsenal fans THINK this is impossible - Year left on contract and a bid upwards of 35 mill? Kroenke must be rubbing his hands at this point.

Two years left but I think your last point nails it. Man sees a balance sheet not a club / team / fan base.

I agree, Arsenal only need another 10 deals like this and they have wiped out a significant proportion of their half a billion pounds worth of debt.

There isnt really.  This is basically down to him signing a new deal with Arsenal or coming to us.  If we get a bid accepted, I bet this gets signed, sealed and delivered quickly to stop any competition for him.  I think there is virtually no chance of us signing him but if the door is left open even just a bit by Arsenal then expect him to be signed and sealed with a day of that bid being accepted.  We have very savvy recruitment team and apart from a few sneaky/off the cuff requests for swap deals by the continent clubs there has been no serious interest apart from us.

I do have to say that to go this aggressively after an attacking left winger does raise certain issues!

He's an out and out CAM. Played there all season. Moved out to the left for a couple of european games when they played Odegaard in the middle post-January.
