All these clubs signed up for a fixed League, they knew what they were doing, and they'll try something again to keep the status quo. So no, I do not accept their apology nor do I believe they are sorry. Edit: perhaps if they change ffp to be fairer and scrap all of this coefficient rubbish for the champions League I might be a bit more charitable. The Board? Perhaps. The owners? Yes. The private ones and the shareholders? Yes. As these are the ones responsible for appointing the board and senior management. Though some small shareholders would be collateral damage here. And specifically are we talking about: Retribution - just the pleasure of seeing the organization hurt? Restraint - preventing them from doing this again? Deterrence - dissuading others from trying this again?
