His foot was probably half the distance from the floor as Livermore’s, completely different challenges and correct calls for me. On Bt sport they just said that it was yellow and moved on. Lerner's Driver
I almost worry more when it is like this. We have a unique ability to waste these advantages!
Popular Post OutByEaster? Posted December 20, 2020 Moderator Popular Post Share Posted December 20, 2020 Albion are a goal down, a man down and haven't threatened at all - but you can make a case for that being a good half for them at 1-0. We need to start taking our chances - I'm getting concerned about Watkins, he needs a goal - hasn't scored in four and a half games now and we need him on the end of things. We've scored with one of our last 36 chances.
chappy
Great finish Anwar. Traore and Cash v good so far. Glad we’re ahead before they go to ten men.
VillaAlex
I'll be fuming if we somehow mess this up. They are terrible, we've been ok but seem like we need to up a few gears.

I've said it before, but for any player that thrives on dictacting tempo and driving forward, it's lovely to have a safe zone when moving inwards. Right now he looks lost. Agree. Would put Ramsey in the middle and move Grealish to the left.
villalad21
Our record against 10 men not been great.. But surely we're winning this

His studs go in to the Albion's player ankle ffs. Don’t think there was any intent it was just clumsy and late. I do think the majority of outrage is because it’s came straight after the Livermore dismissal, that doesn’t happen and you don’t see much fuss about the call.

The Hause one was more of a melee - is the only reason I think he didn't go off.
pacbuddies
Livermore is a dirty word removed!
El Zen
Also, comparing Hause and Livermore is pointless. One is a clumsy misstep worthy of a yellow card, the other is a deliberate attempt to break someone’s leg.
OutByEaster? Posted December 20, 2020 Moderator Share Posted December 20, 2020 On radio 5 that said yellow and moved on for Hause, although they did ask questions on Martinez handball and whether that should be red. Plenty for the Albion to moan about.
Dave-R
I am pleasantly surprised and kind of happy Ghazi has ended his goal drought properly now. Was a tough goal to make happen when you tap in dragging your four foot behind you off a gorgeous cross by Traore. Traore has been outstanding and all over the place. Team as a whole is doing the job but we are still lacking proper cutting edge.

Villaphan04
as mentioned earlier, but I'd consider bringing on Engels for Hause at some point
BleedClaretAndBlue
Traore, McGinn & Targett been our best players. Doug and Cash been good again as expected. Jack looks tired and not his normal self. Couple more goals and a clean sheet please

He’s not a technical genius, he’s a workhorse who keeps making clever runs and drags the defence all over the place. He’s playing well IMO. Things just not coming off for him atm, but they will. Another way of seeing it though is he only scored or assisted from open play in 2 games, so you can see why some questions are being raised. Not skating him, just trying to see both sides of the argument

samjp26
You can see Traore is working a lot harder today and it seems to be helping the link up with Cash. They look great together so far tonight, that bit of interplay where they were giving the ball back to each other was lovely, 5/6 interchanges between them both took us from our own half right up to there byline. Love it.
