CVByrne
Muscle tear usually isn't too long a recovery time. Hopefully back training in 3 or 4 weeks. Window doesn't shut for 10 weeks so plenty of time to find him a move

Either way though -

ChesterDad
It’s not going to happen here is it? Bertie is one of the most naturally gifted players to grace our shores, I won’t claim that he has always covered himself in glory but he is insanely talented, mercurial, bewildering and at times - pure elegance to watch and for these reasons I’d keep him. Bailey doesn’t excite me, anywhere near so much and personally I would let him go. But I fear it’s over for our magic man
Popular Post rodders0223
Was calling for him to stay, was calling for him to come back, I'm glad he did, he played a part and we needed him. He's got good stats generally and is a game changer somewhat but if he's playing for us quite a bit next season we've done **** up. We need to ramp up now on quality.

He’s in his last year… can’t really see any takers and he would be a useful member of the squad and be able to offer contributions in different competitions for us this season. Can’t see him getting a new deal (you never know though, if he can impress he’ll give himself a chance)… It was only one start/game, but I was really disappointed in his performance vs Wolves. He had a real chance to prove himself and impress but totally wasted it… although the whole side was “off it” but he was arguably the worst player on the pitch that day. We could see an improved BT after a preseason and the coaching/guidance of Unai… he hadn’t reached the level of his debut season with us so may have more to offer… Like rodders has stated above, wanted him back and he contributed but we can’t be too sentimental and need to keep pushing forwards and enhancing our quality. We’ve got to show ambition and progress and some players will be left behind (moved on)… Always been a fan and will wish him well… Tempted to say he could shock everyone… he has such talent and magic in him… But I think his time with us is nearing its end, don’t think he was treated and respected as well as he could have been and deserved tbh… I’ll never forget his contributions in the lockdown season, fantastic pieces of skill and incredible goals. A proper entertainer.

A proper entertainer. Ah, there's no point loaning him out then. Probably my favourite player to watch, technically superb, but you're right, he threw his opportunity away with that shocker against Wolves. Can't argue with it sadly. Barring a miracle I can't see him being part of our future plans now
VillaChris
Probably out for a small fee in January I think. Maybe even August 31st if we sign a few attackers but depends on his latest injury aswell. He did what was required in the run in last season.
